Buggy Bugs (night cache) Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Reviewer Revan: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so I am regretfully archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace this cache sometime in the future (not to exceed 10 days from the date of this entry), just contact me (by e-mail), and assuming it still meets the current Guidelines, I will consider unarchiving this cache.

Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the Reviewer Revan.

Geocache Description:

This is a night cache spawned from the Lightning Bug Seed Cache GC2CNA7. That is an awesome caching experience but it's not for everyone. Buggy Bugs is my attempt to recreate that experience in a tamer environment.

The posted coordinates are BOGUS. Solve the PUZZLE. Park there. Be sure to check rear view mirror for something historical. Start looking slightly downhill from the seating area that will be in your headlights. A good flashlight will reveal the first lightning bug. They get denser as you progress. Stay on the easy path until near the end. Trail gets slightly rougher then. Very minimal bushwacking involved. There will be no doubt when you have arrived. Total hiking distance is 1.5 miles.

Pile the whole family on. Bring an extra flashlight & batteries. Watch for critters, especially at the end. It's a reasonably safe family park but this IS Texas. Park hours are 6am-10pm. No need to backtrack when finished. Just keep going forward.

Solve this puzzle to find the starting point.
