Our second cache and also the second in our "Ghost" series. If you have searched for geocaches within 20 miles of the Sanford NC area you have no doubt come across a hide from one GRANPA ALEX. The elusive pill bottles of different shapes and sizes placed in or on arboreal specimens either excite or frustrate.
This friendly fella hides in the manner of his name sakes tendency! No ladders are required but unlike his partner this ghost will not ascend from the ashes. The entrance way-point is the only way to access this cache with out trespassing. 4 wheel drive is always good but not a necessity to access this hide. If you choose to park near the road and hike in be ready for a mile of walking round trip. This is why I have given the terrain a 3. You may see soldiers here from time to time but if you leave them alone they should leave you alone. This is one of my kids favorite fishing holes and a true beauty during a sunset. Enjoy the hunt.
