Russell Gardens
Situated at the Dover end of the Alkham Valley Road, opposite Kearsney Abbey, are the beautiful landscaped Russell Gardens. The park was once part of the grounds of Kearsney Manor, now a nursing home. Created in 1959, Russell Gardens was in memory of a local Rural District Councillor, Hilton Ernest Russell, and set out in a Chinese style with an impressive pond with walk over bridges at either end. It reminds us of a particular water garden we visited in Wuxi, China.
A very busy venue most times of the year being a favourite bolt hole for locals, particularly on sunny days. The gardens also have a children's play area and grass tennis courts. Across the stream at the opposite end of the gardens is Bushy Ruff which has a large lake, woodland and an abundance of wildlife to be seen.
The Cache
Having recently enjoyed a fun graphic puzzle (thanks Steffi) we used our traditional bamboo Mahjong set to create a 3D Solitaire Mahjong puzzle which holds the required co-ords. all your stealth skills will be required not to give the cache away once at GZ. PLEASE, be mindful of the camouflage used and ensure cache is hidden well. NO SPOILER LOGS as to the puzzle or park location of the cache please.
