SPACETEACHER
This will be my last day in town, and I want to bring a little bit of Alabama to Alaska. I’m in town for a teacher workshop this week on the Iditarod Race.
I fly home late tonight.
MARDI GRAS
Mardi Gras is March 8, this year, and so we will celebrate early.
I will bring beads and moon pies for the first twenty-four cachers who post a will attend
Please come if you can, even last minute - I will bring extras.
Door prizes too.
FLASH MOB
A flash mob is a brief event that lasts exactly 15 minutes.
The idea is to suddenly gather, do some sort of activity, have a snack, take a photo, then disperse as quickly.
We will meet at Anchorage Town at N61° 13.023 W149° 53.559 at precisely 9:30 a.m.
Wear a geocaching name tag you have made yourself that fits with your caching name (prize for best name tag) and make a copy to leave with me for the log book.
A copy machine print is fine.
Grab a bead necklace.
We will make a group picture at ten minutes, moon pies will be passed out.
We will have King Cake if I can find everything I need to make one
At fifteen minutes everyone leaves to meet elsewhere, cache, watch the start of the Iditarod a block away, go home and do chores, etc.
FAREWELL Y’ALL
My wish list for this trip was pretty short: meet some local cachers, maybe see a glacier, visit a gold mine, attend an event and …finish the Cache Across America series.
My remaining needed cache lies in Wasilla, which I hope to have found before this event.
