Frankley My Dear Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

adamandbeckychater: It is with some sadness that we are archiving this cache today - the 'ding machine' has been removed and there just isn't anywhere else indoors at the services where we could place a replacement so we have decided to archive this listing and free up the area for other cachers who might want to place a cache here.

Geocache Description:

Frankley My Dear

Are you ready for the challenge?
Hopefully finding this cache will be an entertaining break to your motorway journey!

About the location
Frankley is one of the oldest services on the motorway network. This the southbound side has a very odd design, with a restaurant and toilets on the second floor. It's one of very few services to have a full second story, and it backs out over the exit road. This design used to be replicated on the northbound side, but that was demolished and moved away from the road as part of the M5 widening scheme in the 1980s. There used to be a bridge connecting the two services, which would have joined the southbound building where the stairway currently is.

You are looking for a nano cache hidden in the dry. Please bring a pen. The cache is easily accessible but requires extreme stealth due to the location. No spoilers please! If you can't work out the hint please feel free to contact us for an extra hint.

There is ample parking - this is a service station, after all!

Congratulations to maxtrev & basketcase crew for being joint first to find!
