International CITO Day!

Another Calgary CITO event! This time, Munroe Park will get our valued attention! I am really hoping we can see a good mixture of old and new cachers. Make April 30th the day to catch up with friends - especially new friends! If you would rather "CITO where you're at", remember to take a photo or two and claim your smiley for this event.

Added Bonus!!!
We will officially launch the Calgary Cache and Release Spring 2011 weekend of events at this CITO. Yes! CCARS11 starts here! Come down and pitch in to our park clean up and then be one of the first in line for essential CCARS11 gear and the countdown to the starting gun!*

Itinerary
10:00am meet at the posted coordinates
10:00am - 11:00am - Park Cleanup
11:00am - 11:05am - Group photograph!
11:05am-11:15am - Snack time
11:15am - 11:30am - CCARS11 launch event!
12:00 noon - Official start of CCARS11!

Prize!
A prize will be awarded at the CCARS11 wrap-up event (GC2P2G4) for the oddest or largest piece of garbage/trash found during the entire International CITO weekend!
You will need to bring the item or a photograph of it to the wrap-up event!

This event will be held, come rain or shine, cold or heat, snow or tornado, so bring appropriate clothing and perhaps a change of clothes if the forecast is particularly bad!
All supplies will be provided: garbage bags, litter sticks and hazard spikes. You should bring a pair of solid gloves (gardening gloves work well), suitable footwear for walking a park, and clothing that will keep you warm but will allow you to shed layers if things get warm.

There is (limited) on-street parking available.

If you are unable to attend the CITO event but would still like to pick up your CCARS11 supplies before the beginning of CCARS11, please contact us or watch the CCARS11 website (link at top of this page) for updates on additional distribution events/locations.

* CCARS11 starts at 12:00 noon, but your starting location need not be at the CITO nor do you need to start caching as early as 12:00 noon. CCARS11 runs until 12:00 noon on May 1st, 2011.

Remember to join us at midnight for the Crash & Relax event where you can relax, refuel, regenerate, hang out with friends and generally have a good time.
Also, join us for the Cache & Release event where we'll enjoy a good meal, maybe win some prizes and wrap up the fun for another season.

Congratulations to EtoshaMa and TiggerEtosha for biggest/weirdest CITO item.
