Geocache Description:

A short walk around an historic park which dates back to 1551. It contains the site of a Norman motte and bailey castle, that archaeological evidence suggests was built on the site of a roman burial mound. The park was laid out as formal gardens in the 18th century. Although the majority of the walk is on level paths there is also a steep slope and steps involved which means that this multicache would not be suitable for wheelchair users.

The first half can be found in the log book of 'A walk in the park #1'. The cache is an area of high muggle foot traffic so stealth is required.

The cache has been placed with the kind permission of Canterbury City Council.
