Geocache Description:

Find Rev. Green's cache and collect evidence in the case of Dr Black's murder. Use your detective skills to discover the killer, the murder weapon and the crime scene and then locate the missing body (GC2NN3T) to bring the culprit to justice. This cache will test your facial recognition skills in an Identity Parade.

There's foul play on the Herts-Beds border and you have been called in to investigate the suspected murder of Dr Black, owner of Tudor Mansion. It's only suspected because we cannot find the body! Dr Black invited six guests for the weekend and some time very early on Sunday morning the host disappeared. His guests all fled the house; each with a guilty conscience ... but only one was responsible for Dr Black's disappearance.

You are Inspector Cluedo and your challenge is to solve the crime and find the body. Each of the suspects has hidden their potentially incriminating evidence in a cache on familiar ground where they feel safe. Visit each cache and inspect the evidence you find. There will be three cards in each to enable you to eliminate suspects, weapons or locations from your enquiries. When you have the solution visit Inspector Cluedo: Dr Black for the final stage instructions. Good Luck, Inspector, because each cache will test a different detection skill.

The area of Bedfordshire around Harlington is rich in associations with Pilgrim's Progress author John Bunyan. You can follow the long distance footpath 'The John Bunyan Trail' to visit many more.

Rev. Green is a well-loved cleric of the local parish. His many professional visits to Tudor Mansion, collecting for various church activities and good works, have enabled him to get to know Dr Black well. The doctor tolerates the vicar, wishing to keep on the church's good side ... just in case. This 'relationship' sees Rev. Green at the mansion even more regularly as a dinner guest.

The coordinates at the top of the page are for John Bunyan's Tree (Rev. Green's favourite author), but your sergeant and some local bobbies have already searched the immediate vicinity thoroughly. However, a search of Rev. Green's vestry has revealed a collection of portrait photographs. Grouped in threes, it is believed that the coordinates of the evidence cache are to be found by identifying the real Pope in each trio and then using the numbers beneath all of the selected Pontiffs.

The cache is located at N 51 5a.bc2 W 000 2d.ef3

Please take extreme care crossing the road to the head of the trail. There are no pavements.

The cache is a plastic 0.33L lock & lock box holding a personal item belonging to Rev. Green, three cards to advance your enquiries and an access code on the lid to use the Inspector Cluedo Suggestion Site. Please leave all evidence in the cache for the next detective and please hide the cache exactly as you found it.
