SK: Slovo retro je odvodene z latinskej predpony "retro" s vyznamom spat, nazad, spiatocny, spatny, obrateny. Prikladmi bezneho pouzitia su slova ako retrospektiva, retroaktivita, retrostyl ci retromoda. V sucasnosti sa slovo retro pouziva casto nie uplne vhodne len ako oznacenie pre dobu vztahujucu sa k 50-tym a 60-tym rokom 20. storocia.
Aktualne ma Bratislava svoje vlastne retro - avsak s velkym "R" - Retro je novy polyfunkcny komplex budov s vyskovou budovou v bratislavskom Ruzinove, ktoru neprehliadnete hlavne v noci - ked na vas do dialky a z vysky zmurkne svojimi obrovskymi farebnymi reklamnymi napismi.

EN: The word retro derive s from the Latin prefix "retro" meaning backwards or in past times. An example of the common usage is words like retrospective, retroactivity, retro style or retro art. Very often the word retro is used not very suitably only for the description of the time period related to the 50's and 60's of 20th century.
Currently has the City of Bratislava its own retro - with big "R" - Retro is the new multi-storey complex of buildings with a skyscraper in Bratislava's part Ruzinov. You cannot overlook the building especially at night - when it winks you from the top and distance with its large and colourful adverts.
