Here in the first of the series is “The A38 Road
Bridge”, hidden behind a fence in a mix of ivy, brambles and
rubbish – what a stunning location!
A few metres away you can admire the speeding traffic hammering
up and down the A38, known locally, at least to the elderly ladies
who frequent a local charity shop as “The Motorway”
although it’s obviously just a Dual Carriageway.
But wait!, that’s not all. On the other side of the road
from the cache is a hidden architectural gem – designed by
George Gilbert Scott and his partner William Bonython Moffatt, is
the original and now unused Liskeard Union Workhouse. The security
fencing is particularly fetching and watch out for the Security
Guard.
There’s loads more information about the Workhouse here

This cache features my patented “Birdie Polar
Logging system” ™, a convoluted and clever yet
totally pointless system. Cachers with long names should log on the
outer circles, those with very short names, in the centre. Watch
out for muggles, please report lack of rubbish in the cache area
– I’ll pop round and scatter some more – and
please don’t make this cache a favourite –
don’t, or else!
