ptom: [DE] Der Wartungsaufwand ist mir in der jetzigen Form etwas zu hoch. Zusätzlich war heuer wärend meines Langlauf-Urlaubs die Runde wegen Schneemangels nicht wirklich befahrbar. Daher habe ich mich entschlossen, den Cache in dieser Form zu archivieren, ev. er kommt nächstes Jahr in einer anderen Form wieder.

Langlaufen in Ramsau
Cross-Country Skiing in Ramsau

This is a very simple cache but still I don't believe a lot of people will complete it. The task is like follows:
Complete the "Dachstein Skating" track on your cross-country skies. The map below gives a rought indication where the track runs and in which direction you have to follow it.

Every now and then along the course you will find track signs. On the back side of some you will find the handwritten letters LLR in conjunction with a number. Note down the number. You have to extract from the following "flow chart" where you can find the important signs

Only the stage at the beginning (Start) is different: Look for the hugh start sign and find the number in 1.8m height.
During the snowless saisons this cache will be disabled, since during this periode all direction signs will be collected, as the cache will be.

Cache:

When you have collected all numbers do the following calculations:

XXX=9*A*B+11*E*F+10*I*J
YYY=7*C*D+10*G*H+4*K*L

And find the cache at the coordinates:

N47 2X.XX4 E13 3Y.YY2

Please don't expect the cache somewhere near the header coordinates.

"Dachstein Skating" Cross Country Run:

This course counts roughly 30 kilometers and about 500 meters in altitude and will guide you once around the Ramsauer Kulm. All together there are six extra loops which are part of the "Dachstein Skating" - belive me you will have to run all of them, don't take the shortcuts. It's set up for both skating and classic skies. The general direction signs are green and labeled "Dachstein Skating 30km" (see picture). At the given header koordinates you will find the "Start"-sign which is already part of the game. Here you can find the overview map of the Ramsau cross country area. You will have to go for the run indicated with a green "30".

Difficulty/Terrain Rating:

The difficulty rating is chosen that high, because you need special equipment (cross country skies or at least snow shoes). The terrain rating is related to the position of the cache and is a troughly 5-star - you will need a tool to get the film canister. But just consider what you have got in your hands...

Personal Opinion:

Count with at least 3 hours to complete the course! I'd like if you consider this cache as a trophy, every single finder will get his own icon for his GC-profile. Just copy the following lines into your personal profile:
