The posted coordinates do not represent the cache's hiding place, but rather they identify one of the trail heads of a pathway that winds through a scenic wooded section of property on High Point Road. From this point, walk a short distance in a southwesterly direction, past a bench, to a large oak tree with a small white note attached to it.
You may determine the cache's location by answering correctly the following question: What kind of oak is this? It is one of the five oak species listed below.
If this tree is a Georgia oak, the coordinates to the cache are: N 33 53.419, W. 084 22.036
If it is a Scarlet oak, the coordinates are: N. 33 53.348, W. 084 22.034
If it is a Black oak, the coordinates are: N. 33 53.422, W. 084 22.058
If it is a Southern red oak, the coordinates are: N. 33 53.363, W. 084 22.047
If it is a Blackjack oak, the coordinates are: N. 33 53.348, W. 084 22.047
The cache is located on private property, with the staff's permission. Nearby parking is available. Please do not hunt for this cache after dark or before 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Bring your own writing instrument. The cache has room for very small trade items only.
Geocachers, who are native plant botanists or foresters from the Southeast, give this puzzle cache a shot. :-)
Have fun!
