I recently compiled a list of the top cachers in Minnesota for 2010 and more than 46 of you had over 1,200 finds. I did the same thing in 2009 and 28 of you had over 1,200 finds. In theory any of you cachers could qualify for my “100 A Month Club” challenge. The tick is that you have to have a MINIMUM of 100 or more finds per month for 12 consecutive months. That means you have to be a consistent power cacher and cache year round. You have to be able to deal with freezing temps, ice and the deep snows of winter and the heat, humidity, ticks, mosquitoes and poisonous plants of the summer.
I completed this challenge myself by finding 100 or more caches every month from January to December of 2010. But you don’t have to do a calendar year. You can go from April to March, August to July or October to September. As long as they are 12 CONSECUTIVE MONTHS you qualify to log this challenge cache! Past finds for any kind of cache that earn you smiley on GC.com will qualify: Traditional, Multi-Cache, Mystery/Unknown, EarthCache, Virtual, Letterbox Hybrid, Wherigo, Webcam and Event Caches of any kind. The only thing that DOESN’T count is NGS Benchmarks. This cache ISN'T limited to Minnesota cachers and finds ANYWHERE in the world qualify, as long as their logged on GC.com
When you log the find on this cache simply document the period (month and year) that you’re qualifying caches start and end. The easiest way to do this is with a photo or list of monthly finds off your Geocaching.com Stats page. But geocachers are on the honor system here. Any cachers that have accomplished this challenge will no doubt be honorable.
