Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs or logged into geocaching.com for some time I am archiving it.

Geocache Description:

The Alphabet Series - a series of 26 caches (13 in Lepton and 13 in Kirkheaton) + bonus cache. Named after Yorkshire cachers.

Both walks are circulars and parking is available near the start of each walk.

DONT JUST ASSUME THAT A IS ONLY FOR ALDOCANDY - CHECK ANY CONTAINERS IN THIS SERIES FOR OTHER 'WORDS' - write them down for later. once placed in the correct order, these 'words' will make a sensible sentence which will lead you to the Bonus cache. Some containers may contain more than 1 word so search carefully. others may contain none. some will contain 2 words the same - this is because that word appears in your sentence twice. PLEASE leave any words in the container for other finders. There are no hidden words in any of the tiny nano caches but there may be some in the micros!

Caches A to M are in Lepton. The route will take you on a pleasant stroll along a lane, dropping down through fields, past a few cottages then a short distance down the road before turning into Lepton Great Wood. once through the woods, you will climb up the bridle path towards a hamlet called Little Lepton, containing a few traditional cottages, a riding stable and some gorgeous barn conversions. following a number of footpaths, you will eventually arrive back near cache B, a short stroll away from your car.

Parking is usually available at Lepton church, but on the rare occasions that the carpark is closed, limited parking is available on Green Balk Lane. please respect gateways though as access for horses is required regularly.

From the church car park, follow the lane to the stile at the top of a field. This is a public footpath but the sign is missing.
This cache is the first in the alphabet series. it is a micro and contains a log and pencil - DONT FORGET TO CHECK THE CONTAINER FOR OTHER WORDS!
