The Mesquite Valley (California Valley) geocache is a typical desert cache.
This cache is located off the Mesquite Valley - Smith Talc road. From the Mesquite valley road take the Smith Talc road. Look for BLM Road marker NN446. This is the road you want.
When you get to the 'ranch' you can enjoy the interesting watering hole and spring.
From the 'ranch' the road quickly becomes a 4x4 road for high clearance vehicles only. The ranch is a good spot to leave your car and make the short walk up the road towards a private property talc mine.
The geocache is located on a hill just before the signs begin saying 'private property - keep out'.
The cache hide is a tyupical desert hide. You are looking for a small size ammunition box.
