This is the event you can't miss!
After a full day of geocaching with 50+ new caches, come walk
the RED CARPET for the best awards show ever. Dinner will be
provided with Salad, Garlic Bread and Spaghetti or Lasagne We will
ask you to bring your own drinks and a donation of $5.00 a person
for your meal.
Come in your finest geocaching attire (whatever that might be) As
you enter the Showroom, you will be seated and the night will
begin. We hope to have entertainment so get your geocaching friends
together and provided us with a song or dance.
These are the 2011 Oscar Awards catagories
BEST COMEDY submit the funny caching story
BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY vote will be on a set of 3 or more pictures
taken while geocaching.
NEWCOMER AWARD Geocacher with less than 100 hides or less than
500 finds
COSTUME DESIGN picture of best or most unusal geocaching
outfit.
BEST DIRECTOR The best hosted event for 2010..
BEST PRODUCER Most caches found in the year 2010.
BEST ANIMATED FILM submit the picture of any animal while
geocaching..
BEST DOCUMENTARY This is for the best song and dance story you
had to tell to the police or security while geocaching. .
BEST VISUAL EFFECTS submit the best cache site or cache picture
(be sure not to reveal the location of the cache).
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR OR ACTRESS submit the best muggle
story..
BEST DRAMA submit a drama story before finding or attending a
cache event or after the event or finding a cache..
SET DESIGNER Best cache set up for any kind of cache. ..
BEST ORGINIAL SCRIPT This is for the best log. Include the
information on what cache GC number it was on.,.
SCREENPLAY submit how or why you got your geocaching
name..
BEST IN THE AUDIENCE AWARD Most events attended in 2010 .
BEST OF THE WORST submit a story on a DNF or DNF's before the
found was made. .
HONORARY AWARD A story of a geocacher lending a helping
hand..
All nominations will be viewed by the Oscar Award Committee and
envelope will be sealed and put in the vault until the Show. Submit
your NOMINATIONS thru the cache page log, this way everyone will be
able to read them. We will have the nominating committee review all
of them and vote.
