Geocache Description:

Charles Pasquier dit « BACH » (1882 - 1953)

Chanteur, comédien et fantaisiste né et enterré au Fontanil.
Véritable star de l’entre deux guerres, Bach joua dans 27 films (dont ‘Le chasseur de chez Maxim’s’), dans un nombre incalculable de pièces, d’opérettes et de revues.
Il devint surtout célèbre lors de la guerre 14-18 pour son interprétation de « Quand Madelon… ». Cette chanson de son ami Louis Bousquet, portée de tranchées en tranchées, allait devenir un véritable hymne, entrant à jamais dans le patrimoine national après avoir fait le tour du monde. D’autre succès, comme « La caissière du Grand café » ou « Avec l’ami bidasse » contribuèrent aussi grandement à sa renommée.
