Bienvenue à Toul

De tous temps la cité a toujours été protégée par des barrière naturelles ou artificielles. Ainsi la moselle et l'Ingressin furent les premier remparts qui protégèrent la ville. Des remparts antiques il ne reste que quelques vestiges mais devant vous se dresse la porte de Moselle et les murailles que nous devons à la fortification Vauban de la ville (1698 1712).
Au travers de quelques caches je me propose de vous faire découvrir ces vielles pierres qui donnent son identité à la ville et cachent encore aujourd'hui bien des secrets.

Vous voici devant la porte de Moselle qui est sans doute la porte qui marque le mieux l'accueil des voyageurs sur Toul.

At all times the city has always been protected by natural or artificial barrier. Thus, the Moselle and Ingressin were the first who protected the city ramparts. Ancient city walls there are only few remnants but before you stands the door of the Moselle and the walls that we owe to the Vauban fortification of the city (1698 1712).
Through some caches I propose you to discover these old buildings that give identity to the town and still hide many secrets.

You stand before the door of the Moselle is probably the best brand door welcoming travelers Toul.
