Come and enjoy a day of discoveries and activities Join us at
Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site of Canada for the
inaugural Geocache Event.
Six new geocaches will be launched to coincide with this event -
a whole new way to see the Fortress! Back in 1744, The Fortress of
Louisbourg was one of the busiest harbours in North America and one
of France's key centres of trade and military strength in the New
World.
Geocachers will first check-in at the Louisbourg firehall. Once
there you will receive the agenda, including the waypoints
necessary as you will be exploring the Fortress.
An Intro to Geocaching will be made available based on demand.
Sign-up sheet will be at the check-in site. The session will be
held at the Fortress. Once done finding the geocaches, geocachers
can come and socialize in one of 18th century taverns where warm
drink (coffee, tea & hot chocolate) will be available.
