Geocache Description:

CITO hosted in partnership with the Grand River Conservation Authority
Snyder's Flats - Saturday April 16th, 9:00am to Noon
Bloomingdale, Ontario

What better way to give back than planting trees and helping to preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources? Please join us for a few hours and build a legacy that will last for years to come. Listed coordinates are for parking and meeting area. GRCA forester will be on hand to assist with proper planting technique. End time of Noon is based on minimum number of attendees. Children are welcome with adult supervision.

The designated planting site is located at Snyder's Flats. We will be planting a mixture of seedlings, saplings and potted stock. A trowel will be sufficient for the smaller seedlings and a shovel for the larger. Please note that Snyder's is an old gravel extraction site so the terrain has been adjusted to reflect the possibility of some tough digging.

** Please meet at 9:00am sharp for some announcements and introductions. The fine folks at Becker Bros have once again graciously donated coffee and donuts for the event and the use of the mobile command center. CITO will run rain or shine (an alternate date of Sunday May 1st has been set aside in the event the frost is not yet out of the ground). Don't forget your shovels. Everyone is welcome **

What to bring:
