Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden in the grounds of my local church and is one of three churches in the parish of Northill.

As the church is so close to the road, to make it more than a cache and dash you need to solve the clues to find the cache.

Saint Mary's church is built of ironstone and Totternhoe clunch and dates from the 14th century. The church owns 6 bells, some of the oldest in Bedfordshire and the church contains a small museum which can be visited on request.

Simply take a quick walk in the church grounds and find an old fashioned method of telling the time.

Find the letters A-G:

Godfrey George Lang was born on April D4 18E7 and passed away on 2F July 192G.

His wife Isabel Francis Emily was born in 1A73 and passed away on May C3 194B. (Decade is illegible.)

Now you have the letters you need to solve the following maths:

N52.0(A-D).(F/G)(B-E-C)(G+D)
W000.1F.(D*D)(F-B)(E/D)

This cache has been placed with permission of the church wardens. Please respect the church and the grounds whilst you enjoy your visit.

I've replaced the maths for (hopefully) more accurate ones. If you visit after 10 Apr 13, please can you leave feedback about whether these are better.

More information about the church and Northill can be found here: (visit link)

FTF was SamuriSwords!

[If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication]
