This is the seventh annual HAG, the theme is 7, and you won't need
any suggestions from us about how to integrate the Lucky 7 (oops;
sorry) into your caches. You can check the Rules and Regs at
VIGPS
The Wizard of Ooze and Mtn-Man will be publishing all the HAG
caches that are in in time between 7 and 8 a.m. on the 5th Feb. The
cache hiding can begin anytime from now until midnight on Friday
February 4th but if you want to have your cache included as a HAG
cache just make sure you do the following:
. PLEASE don't put HAG 7 at the
beginning of your cache title (confusing to see 90 or so caches
show up on your GPS all beginning with HAG); in fact you don't have
to include it in the title at all - just say somewhere in your
description that this is a HAG7 cache.
DO REMEMBER to include a note to the
reviewer saying that this is a HAG 7 cache and not to be released
until Saturday February 5th;
DO list your cache(s) on theVIGPS forum .
Mtn-Man and the Wizard of Ooze are primed and ready to leap into
action, and will begin publishing ASAP after the deadline.
A couple of changes this year..we decided to eliminate the
WayMarking trophy (Draglings and CASM, who richly deserve them,
will retain the trophies they won last year), and the elegant and
tasteful trophies will now be for Most Hides, Most Finds, Most
FTFs, Greatest Log, Best Puzzle or Multi, and the Pyramid trophy,
AKA the HAG Committee's Outstandinginthefield Award.
For the past six years Cyberchasers have, with amazing
generosity, donated lovely mugs to anybody who hid a HAG cache;
Thank you so much, Cyberchasers, for the hundreds of mugs that now
grace the cupboards and mantelpieces of Vancouver Island cachers.
You rock. This year we'll be acknowledging the cache hiders with
something a little different. You'll like them, I know.
So, we'll look forward to seeing you all at 5:30 on March 5. and
if you have any questions, comments or problems please drop a note
to either Amandazon ( tarling@shaw.ca ) or Cache Crop
(jalowan@shaw.ca) Happy Caching.
January 1, 2011 Cache hiding begins and can continue until midnight

February 5th, 2011 The caches are all published (GREAT job on the
part of the reviewers) and the hunting begins.
Saturday March 5th, 2011 at 5.30 p.m. we gather at the Six Mile Pub
to enjoy a cache bash, celebrate the 2 month long event, and
distribute the trophies.
