Tato cache Vás zavede k místu, kde se nacházel bývalý Zárubský rybník vypuštený v roce 1832. Nove vzniklé pole bylo osazeno pšenicí a dodnes se využívá k zemedelským úcelum.

EN:
This cache will take you to the place of a former Zaruba pond which was sewed in 1832. The place started to be used as an agricultural area.

CZ:
V minulosti u nás bývalo daleko více rybníku než dnes a také jejich hospodárský význam byl nesrovnatelne vetší. Ješte v 18. Století byly v Kurimi rybníky V poli, Zárubský, Pod tvrzí a v Hradíštku. Za vlády Marie Terezie, tj. ve druhé polovine 18. století pocet rybníku všeobecne výrazne poklesl. Duvodem mohlo být i dlouhé období míru po vleklých válkách predevším s Pruskem. Vysoušené rybníky premenené na pole a louky se pronajímaly, což bylo mnohdy výhodnejší než hospodarení.

In the past, there used to be far more ponds than today in this country and their economic importance was a lot more significant. In the 18th century there still existed ponds V poli, Zaruba, Pod tvrzi and v Hradistku. During the reign of Marie Terezie that is in the middle of the 18th century, the number of ponds was falling. One of the reasons for conversion of ponds into fields could have been a long period of peace after drawn-out wars, with Prussia in particular. Sewed and dried ponds used to be rented, which was usually more convenient than land’s cultivation.
