Wazat: Thanks to all who attended. Was nice to meet up again with all the usual guys and to meet the new guys in the area... 4 Soekers it is gonna be fun chasing both you and Blessed 4 all over Newcastle for caches... Good to see the bug biting and the caches dropping.

A great thanks for all who came from far, Scott Scott, Bakgat (Mud and all), Hosta, and my good friend GerhardoosMPsa... you guys all travelled far and made the day a good one.

And then a special thanks to the first Geocaching team I met, Batsgonemad and Squirrel.... All the way from Northern Ireland... it was a great honour to have you guys here... especially seeing it was for you guys.

And the guys who did Majuba in the morning, thanks it was a great day indeed.

Last of all to my folks for letting me host it here at their place... and for the great salads, thanks mom...

Till the next one, hopefully soon... Cheers

Geocache Description:

A bring and Braai at Wazat's place

My good friends and the very first Geocacher friends I made, Tim and Sam (Batsgonemad and his Squirrel) are in town. But alas in a few days they will be leaving. So what better way to bid them farewell than to hold a little get together to wish them a bon voyage as they return back to Northern Ireland where they now reside.

If anyone is interested, Bats and I plan an excursion, weather permitting to head up Majuba mountain and most likely will attempt this early in the morning, to then return back to Newcastle before the event. We will discuss times closer to the date but so far it will be a trip to the mountain via Baboon Rock, Battle of Schuinshoogte, O'Neils Cottage, Fanny Knight, And then 1 cache below Majuba and 4 on top. As of now that is the plan, Return will Be via Ingogo and there is a possibility 2 more caches will be along this route. In all we could have a possible 12 or so caches available for the day. Plus a few in Newcastle. So if anyone wishes to join in the fun, please feel free to drop me a note, you need not do this if you are attending the event, which is later on in the afternoon. This is just for those that may be interested.

It would be great if we could see some local cachers attending and I am sure most of you will enjoy meeting the guy behind the cache at Newcastle View. Which was my first attempt at finding a cache and sadly my first DNF.

Bring your own chairs and meat and we can have a good get together.

We will meet from 14:00 onwards....
