HNY 2011 is Happy New Year 2011, a series of 39 caches around the general area of Barcombe in East Sussex. There are also a couple of other caches you can do along the way to top up the numbers a bit.
They have been set specifically for a group caching walk on New Years Day by a number of Sussex and Neighbouring county cachers.
The walk is about 7 miles in length. As a good portion of it runs along side the River Ouse and its tributaries you are advised to keep a close eye on youngsters. You are also likely to encounter livestock along the way, all of which are cacher friendly from my experience, so dogs are best kept on leads.
The caches themselves are 35mm film canisters, micro tubes and small tubes, the last of which can take small swaps, TBs and Geocoins.
Please, please, please.... be very careful with the magnetic caches as a number of them are very close to water and I wouldn't want them to go plop!!
I hope you enjoy the walk and the caches, and get your caching New Year off to a great start!!
