Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden near the cairn, it is hoped that the cache will attract visitors to admire the views.

A group of local people rebuilt the cairn on this hill for the millennium celebrations. The original cairn had been damaged with the stones being strewn around the area. They searched through local records and various maps and couldn’t find out the name of the hill. It was decide by some of the locals to call the hill Millennium Mount. The cairn is shown on the Ordnance Survey Map but no name for the hill is shown. Some maps appear to show the name Yeat but this is part of the name of Fusethwaite Yeat.

This is an ideal place to visit for the views of Windermere and the surrounding fells.

This cache is located on National Trust land so please follow the country code. Please do not climb on walls, close gates and keep dogs on leads.
