The spot is named for the channel of sea water separating an "island" of rocks from the main land.On low tide the adventurous can wade through to the island and even enjoy a swim in the channel in warm(ish) sea water.No need to get wet though to reach GZ
Grandma and Grandpa introduced this spot to the family after moving to Franskraal in 1998.Since then many family picnics have been enjoyed here at all times of the day and in all types of weather conditions.Bringing with a picnic basket is highly recommended as the sea view and quiet surroundings is a wonderful opportunity to just sit back and relax for a while.Be aware of the odd muggle here and there as there is not a lot of cover at GZ.
Take some time to explore some of the other little dirt turn offs of Sea View drive.There are quite a few starting from the beach in Franskraal right into Kleinbaai.They are quite safe and accessible with a normal sedan
