A gentle stroll from Coton to the Laundry Farm; there's only one bridge....
Only a few miles out of Cambridge over public rights of way, or visit Coton and sample village life not 3 miles from Great St Mary's. Or for ease of access parking at Wheatcases on the Granchester Road - parking open whenever someone gets there until dusk.
However, you'll be getting onto the footpath along a working farm track for several hundred yards at least so boots on... but we are in Cambridgeshire, which as a whole is characterised by a lack of any interesting terrain, so flat walking all the way.
No bikes on the footpath, but it's within 400yds of "The Spine Way"...
