[PL] Jan Nepomucen wedlug tradycji ludowej byl swietym, który chronil pola i zasiewy przed powodzia, ale równiez i susza. Dlatego figury Jana Nepomucena (nepomuki) mozna spotkac jeszcze dzisiaj przy drogach w sasiedztwie mostów, rzek, ale równiez na placach publicznych i koscielnych oraz na skrzyzowaniach dróg.
Na terenie Warszawy znajduje sie kilka figur przedstawiajacych sw. Jana, ta zwiazana ze skrzynka jest jedna z czterech najbardziej kojarzonych.
Do poczatku lat 50-tych, w poblizu figury znajdowal sie jeden z przystanków Kolejki Wilanowskiej.
Skrzynka zostala ukryty kilka metrów od figury, w zywoplocie w sasiedztwie Domu ITI, w jednym z krzaczków.
