Please read the cache description. Although it is somewhat long, it explains how you can earn a bonus smiley on this series of 62 caches. Everyone can earn one (and only one) bonus smiley at a specific cache in the series.
Parking spots are at a premium and we tried to located sites that had nearby, safe parking. The result was that we sometimes had to place caches on the "wrong" side of the road.
This cache is a matchstick container.
We thought it would be fun to create an
Austin-area geocachers Hall of Fame...so we did! This series is meant to celebrate some of the most well-known cachers in our area. We created the list by going through the logs of the caches we already owned and making note of the most active cachers. It is meant to be fun, so if we left you off the list, please don't be offended. Also, the cachers are not listed in any particular order in the series.
We added a bit of spice to this series in several ways. First, if you find a cache that is your namesake, please snap a photo of yourself at GZ, post it with your log, and take a bonus smiley.
The second bit of spice is for some of those folks who do not have a namesake cache. Let me explain. Most of the caches in this series are named "Hall of Fame" followed by a well-known cacher's name; however, some of them are simply named "Hall of Fame--Unnamed". Once those caches are logged by someone who doesn't already have a namesake cache, staciecro and I will rename that cache in his or her honor.
Finally, everyone who doesn't have an original namesake cache, can earn a bonus smiley on the cache named "Hall of Fame-Prime Reviewer" by having their photo taken at GZ and posting it with their log.
