About Dr. Arnulfo Arias M. Servidor de la Nacion Panameña
Memorial:
Dr. Arnulfo Arias Madrid was born August 15, 1901 in Penonomé,
Coclé Province, Panama and was president of Panama on three
occasions: 1940–41, 1949–51, and for two weeks in
October 1968. As a curious fact, he never served a full term, being
deposed by military coups on each occasion.
He died on August 10, 1988 in Miami due to old age. His body was
transferred to Panama City, where he was ultimately buried.
This memorial was unveiled on August 15th, 2002 by the President
of Panama, Mireya Moscoso, also his ex-wife. You can read and learn
