Boreal Walker's 300th Hide Mystery Cache

Boreal Walker: Putting this one to rest after almost 12 years. Thanks to everyone that went down the journey to the end. There have only been a handful. Originally the plan was for this one to be a multicache. Even though the first stage is at the posted coordinates, the cipher on the cache page turned it into a puzzle.

Stage 1 is just a plain old skirt lifter. Nothing fancy. I figured I would easy everyone in nicely.
Stage 2 takes you out to western Minnesota by Cyrus. This one was pure evil. The coordinates took you to a bridge and you had to go under. Most cachers thought the cache was in the rocks, but that isn't the case. I actually had written ten digits on the concrete. The kicker was that I used MGRS, so it wasn't clear what to do.
Stage 3 was really close. Probably to two closest stages. It was a bison tube hanging on a fishing line in a swamp. There is a drain, that it was hanging down in. I hid that one in the winter and fell through the ice up to my waist. Last time I drove through town the swamp was dry. Things change. In this one was the PID for a benchmark.
Stage 4 was just a film can at the benchmark in Berne with the coordinates to stage 5. No tricks here.
Stage 5 took you over to Monticello. There used to be an old abandoned cattle car at a dead end by I-94. You were looking for a magnetic key holder on that. Of course, I wrote the coordinates down wrong, so two of the numbers had to be flipped.
Stage 6 was a bison tube hanging in a conifer in Clarkfield. This one went missing the most. Not a very friendly spot.
Stage 7 brought you back to the east side of the state. You had to go out on Lake Byllesby for this one. Inside a plastic container was a word puzzle and coordinates to a plaque.
Stage 8 was a virtual, see you get all kinds of fun with this multicache. You had to use what was given to you in stage 7 and the info on the plaque to figure out where the next stage was.
Stage 9 takes you down to Taopi. There is a funny family story about a bar and driving backwards to Austin. But that is for another time. This was in the parking lot to a WMA. The container was just sitting in a brush pile. Once you opened it, you had a puzzle on your hands. you had to find the intersection of two back azimuths using non conventional units. I had some fun figuring that one out. Once you solved the puzzle, you knew where the final was.
Stage 10, This is the end of your journey out in Hay Creek Unit. You were looking for a larger coffee can hidden at a downed log. Inside was your usual trinkets and a log sheet.

Now you know the story behind my 300th hide. It was fun while it lasted, but time to let it go.
