It's big, green, mossy and it came from the other side!


It Came From The Other SIde

That's right, TheScottFamilyFive currently reside on the other side of the sound, tucked away in the Seattle area suburbs. However, that was not always the case! Both Matt and Lisa grew up on this side of the sound. We come back regularly to visit family, but don't really get to spend time just cruising around like in the old days.

So we finally decided to fix that. We took a day off to come over and just go see all the places we hadn't see for a long time. We cached all day and then went to downtown Bremerton for dinner. While much of the rural areas seem very familiar, Bremerton has completely changed. Wow, what a difference 20 years makes.

What about the cache?! Well, we figured if we were going to come bum around the area we might as well bring a cache to hide. We knew that somewhere in the Gold / Green mountain area would be perfect for a container we had camo'ed. While we didn't get to hike these trails as much as we wanted, we were able to find a great spot for a nice new hide.

We are not far away and are always coming back to visit family so if there are any problems with the cache, just post a maintenance log and we will get it taken care of asap.
