Geocache Description:

This is the first in a series of Fladbury Ponders; in most of the caches there is a card with a witty or pithy saying/homily for you to ponder on the way to the next cache. The series is a 4-5 mile walk - through Lower Moor to the outskirts of Wyre Piddle. It's a suitable winter walk as there are many firm tracks and only one or two muddy patches!

Parking is available in the Cricket Club/Recreation Ground car park, just over the railway bridge as you enter Fladbury from the Evesham road; or on the main road near the bridge. Fladbury, on the River Avon, was named after a woman, Flaede, and was her settlement or camp. You start the walk by going down the steps on the north side of the railway bridge and following the footpath west.
