Long Description:
ADULT ASSISTANCE REQUIRED. Ballast Point Park, also known as Jules Verne Park, is a great scenic spot on the bay. It was once a garden at the end of a trolley system that ran along the water all the way from downtown. There's a pier, a big playground, gazebos, a field, a bait shop, and a snack bar/restaurant. (We like the natural fruit bars found in the freezer.)
As you may have guessed, Devan named the cache. She also frequently picks out the items with which we replenish it--mostly new toys.
Please leave something kids will enjoy, especially if you take something yourself.
COMBINATION IS 8-2-8 (viewed from side with ARROWS). Adults please resecure. See "Related Web Page" or gallery pics for photo of the container. Unlock. Unlatch. Then open from end.
[Note: The cache featured in the cool Youtube video starring Devan youtu.be/2I7bdzfQcTA has been replaced with one of a different style.]
REQUEST:
Please be careful not to break branches and leaves as you move through the mangroves, and please help us keep the container well-concealed, using only already dead branches, etc., rather than breaking off living parts. We would appreciative it if you would inform us if maintenance is needed or if the cache has been emptied of appealing swag. (Your contribution to replenishing the goodies for child geocachers is appreciated by all.)
We rely on the digital log, rather than the traditional, oft misplaced or soggy, paper scroll. ENJOY!
