Our first event of 2011 finds us in the village of Warsash situated at the mouth of the river Hamble. Sailing plays an important part in the village's economy as evidenced by the number of boats moored in this locality. The village is also home to the Warsash Maritime Acadamy which provides training for Merchant Navy Officers from all around the world.
Our venue for the evening is The Rising Sun where we have exclusive use of their first floor function room which boasts stunning views across the river Hamble - not that you will be able to fully appreciate them because at this time of year it is going to be dark!

The mangeress, Claire, and her team are looking forward to giving you a very warm welcome. They offer a good choice of meals and I have attached their menu to whet your appetites.
To help the pub cater for everyone, they have asked that we provide them with a list of our requirements a week before the event (5th January). Therefore, can you please advise in your logs whether you require a meal and what your menu choices are (you can add these nearer the time or email me directly if you prefer). I will then collate the list and forward it to Claire.
The large red ammo box will be available for swapping and discovering Geocoins and Travel Bugs and subject to confirmation there will also be the traditional raffle.
If you have not been to an event cache before, would like to experience something different, and have the chance to meet other cachers and swap/discover trackables and your caching stories, then please come along.
