Geocache Description:

SideTracked caches are not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. They are just a distraction for the weary geocaching traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. This cache has been set to create a cache and dash near Millbrook Station. The cache is not located located on railway property but is only a short stroll from the station. Millbrook Station is to the north of the village of the same name. It is situated on the Marston Vale Line. The station is managed by London Midland. The station is between Stewartby to the east and Lidlington to the west. There is an hourly service in each direction, except on Sundays when the line is closed. The station was opened in 1846 by the Bedford Railway. The station was built in a half-timbered Gothic style which had been insisted upon by the Duke of Bedford for stations situated in the vicinity of the Woburn Estate. It was originally named "Marston", but changed to "Ampthill (Marston)" in 1850 after the nearby village. It was again renamed (this time to "Millbrook for Ampthill") in 1877 to remove confusion with "Ampthill" station on the Midland Main Line. The station was again renamed (to "Millbrook") in 1910 and was reduced to an unstaffed halt in 1968. The station building was restored in the early 1980s and converted into a private residence. Current passenger level are around 14,000 muggles per year, including visitors to the nearby Marston Vale Millenium Country Park. The cache is a small 5ml tube in the runners. The cache is now located roadside, close to Millbrook Please log any issues / DNF's - as I can check the cache quite easily. CONGRATULATIONS - JOINT FTF: Felbrigg and thehalibutkid
