Fa uns anys l'Ajuntament de Barcelona va posar en marxa la campanya Guapos per sempre per distingir les botigues amb més de 50 anys que conserven l'ornamentació, arquitectura i negoci originals.
A part de posar-los una placa davant la porta -i editar un llibre- sembla que ha servit de ben poca cosa ja que fins i tot la web que es va crear va desaparèixer fa anys en un prodigi de coherència: les coses modernes duren menys que les antigues! Com diu un amic meu, els papirs encara es poden llegir, però intenta llegir ara un floppy de 5 polzades i quart gravat en format WordPerfect.
Aquesta sèrie de geoamagatalls és un petit homenatge a aquestes botigues. Totes valen la pena de ser vistes i visitades, tant per dins com per fora conserven els elements originals d'ornamentació, mobiliari i un aire de tradició que es pot olorar. En definitiva, són Guapos perquè han mantingut l'encant original. No us limiteu a buscar les pistes, mireu-les i admireu-les.

Placa Guapos per sempre

Anem per feina. Totes les instruccions (dreta, esquerra, darrera, ... ) estan basades en un observador mirant la placa. A molts llocs la recepció de GPS, com sempre dins de carrers estrets, és dèbil. Hem fet un esforç per garantir coordenades molt exactes però aneu amb compte amb les identificacions, hi ha llocs on es poden trobar fins a tres Guapos en menys de 10 metres.
WP1: 1870 - A la placa Guapo d'aquest establiment hi ha, excepcionalment, un número entre l'any d'inici d'activitat i l'any de concessió (1995). Quin?
WP2: 1900 - N 41 21+(WP1 + 177)/1000 E 002 08+(WP1 + 288)/1000
A la columna esquerra de la façana, entre una flor a dalt i una bola a baix, unes motllures decoratives en forma de "V". Quantes "V" hi ha? Per evitar confusions: cal contar motllures senceres dins del marc, ni la "V" del propi marc a dalt de tot, ni la incomplerta a baix de tot. Per si encara no ho teniu clar: múltiple de 4.
WP3: 2ª mitad del s XIX- N 41 22+(WP1/4 + WP2/2 + 543)/1000 E 002 09+(WP1/2 + WP2 - 153)/1000
Just sobre la porta, dos panells de fusta amb ratlles decoratives verticals. Quants solcs verticals hi ha al panell de l'esquerra? Aquests panells només són visibles en horari comercial.
WP4: Desde 1860 - N 41 21+(WP1 - WP2 + WP3*2-2)/1000 E 002 09+(WP1/2 + WP2 - WP3 -7)/1000
Sobre les portes d'aquest establiment, amb el nom i la data de fundació, unes motllures de fusta modernistes enmarquen vidres verds i negres. Contant tots els vidres de totes les portes: verds*10+negres.
WP5: 1883 - N 41 22+(WP2*5 + WP3 + WP4*8-2)/1000 E 002 10+(WP2 + WP3 + WP4 - 87)/1000
A la façana, uns espectaculars trencadissos amb motius florals. Conteu les peces dels pètals roses de la flor de més amunt del panell de l'esquerra i el número de peces (francament petites, aneu amb compte) de la flor groga de més amunt del panell de la dreta. Multipliqueu els dos números.
WP6: 1860 - N 41 22+(WP3*2 + WP4*5 + WP5+10)/1000 E 002 10+(WP3*2 + WP4 + WP5 - 30)/1000
A la façana, sobre vostre, un curiosíssim motiu decoratiu, impossible equivocar-se, aguanta uns objectes que donen nom a l'establiment. Conteu els dels dos costats. La porta és flanquejada per dues columnes, cada una d'elles formada pel mateix número de pedres. Multipliqueu el número de peces d'una columna pel dels objectes que heu contat.
WP7: Mitjans del s XIX- N 41 22+(WP4*2 + WP5*2 + WP6*2 + 11)/1000 E 002 10+(WP4 + WP5 + WP6*2 + 21)/1000
A la placa Guapos hi ha gravat un nom diferent del que té l'establiment. Aquest nom és també el nom d'un objecte que hi ha a la façana, sobre l'any de fundació. Quantes puntes té aquest objecte?
WP8: 1845- N 41 22+(WP5*2 + WP6*7 + WP7*6 - 1)/1000 E 002 10+(WP5 + WP6*5 + WP7*7)/1000
La façana té unes columnes vermelles força estretes que separen els aparadors. Número de columnes*10 + número de làmpades de ferro.
WP9: 1918 - N 41 22+(WP6*8 + WP7*7 + WP8*10 - 3)/1000 E 002 10+(WP6*2 + WP7*4 + WP8*8 + 5)/1000
Al carreró de la dreta, quan acaba la botiga, hi ha un cartell informatiu de l'Institut de Cultura. Al tercer panell, quin número hi ha a la darrera línia? Us he fet venir fins aquí amb un únic objectiu: seguiu caminant endavant uns 40m, trobareu una placa Guapos 1909 corresponent a un establiment que ha deixat de ser Guapo. Abans era una camiseria i ara és una botiga de roba. No és el mateix -capteu?-, però han respectat una de les façanes-aparador més espectaculars de la ciutat. Seria un pecat no aprofitar per admirar-la.
WP10: 1864 - N 41 23+(WP7 + WP8 + WP9*5 + 2)/1000 E 002 10+(WP7*4 + WP8*11 + WP9*6 - 1)/1000
Darrera el mostrador, un gran rellotge separa dos grups de medalles -clarament visibles des del carrer, no cal entrar-hi-. Medalles a l'esquerra*3 + medalles a la dreta*5. Si hi aneu fora d'horari comercial, cap problema, n'hi ha una reproducció -sense rellotge i no tan maques, clar- a la cantonada de la façana, a dalt.
WP11: 1890 - N 41 23+(WP8*2 + WP9 + WP10 + 2)/1000 E 002 10+(WP8*9 + WP9*10 + WP10*13 + 3)/1000
A la façana, uns grans panells decorats. A la part de sota de cada panell, una motllura amb flors -unes al centre cap amunt i altres als extrems cap avall- cada flor amb unes petites boles a la part central. Total de petites boles de totes les flors de tots els panells.
WP12: 1851 - N 41 23+(WP9 + WP10 + WP11 - 6)/1000 E 002 10+(WP9*13 + WP10*16 + WP11*20 + 4)/1000
(Que Guapes són quan són guapes, una de les meves preferides) . A la façana quatre panells amb vidres negres i formes geomètriques daurades. Un d'ells és únic per dos motius: té més d'una paraula i hi ha dos dibuixos, a dalt i a baix, de bulbs de safrà. Quants bulbs de safrà hi ha en total?

Tots els punts són accessibles fàcilment fins i tot en cadira de rodes, però el trajecte sencer -força lineal- té aproximadament uns 5Km.. És un micro força petit.

Some years ago Barcelona Council created the Guapos per sempre -Beautiful forever- campaign to promote shops with more than 50 years with original building, interior and business.
After installing a plate in front of the main door -and publishing a nice book- the project seems to have gone nowhere, even the website is no longer available as a sign of the times: new technology doesn't work while old business is still there.
This serie of geocaches is a small homage to this establishments. All of them are worth seeing and visiting, both in the interior and outdors they keep the original decoration elements, furniture and a smell of tradition that you can feel. After all, they are Guapos because they keep the original charm. Don't limit yourself to pick up the clues, look and admire them.

Let's do it. All directions (right, left, back, ...) are for someone looking at the Guapos plate. GPS signal is usually weak, as always on narrow streets. We tried to get very accurate coordinates but be carefull with the identifications, in some places there are three Guapos in a mere 10 meters area.
WP1: 1870 - On the Guapo plate there is, as an exception, a number between foundation and award (1995) dates. Which one?
WP2: 1900 - N 41 21+(WP1 + 177)/1000 E 002 08+(WP1 + 288)/1000
On the left column on the façade, between a flower on the top and a ball at the bottom, some shaped "V" mouldings. How many "V"? To avoid confusion: count the complete ones inside the frame. Neither the one on the frame itself at the top, neither the incomplete one at the bottom. Check it: divisible by four.
WP3: 2ª mitad del s XIX- N 41 22+(WP1/4 + WP2/2 + 543)/1000 E 002 09+(WP1/2 + WP2 - 153)/1000
Over the door, two wooden panels with vertical grooves. How many of them on the left panel? This panels are visible only on business hours.

Over the doors, some wooden artwork with the name and foundation year, green and black glasses. Count all glasses on all doors. Green*10 + black.
WP5: 1883 - N 41 22+(WP2*5 + WP3 + WP4*8-2)/1000 E 002 10+(WP2 + WP3 + WP4 - 87)/1000
On the façade, four beautifull mosaic panels with flowers and plants. On the left panel count the number of pieces of the petals on the pink flower at the top. On the right panel count the number of pieces of the yellow flower at the top (be carefull, they are very small). Multiply both numbers.
WP6: 1860 - N 41 22+(WP3*2 + WP4*5 + WP5+10)/1000 E 002 10+(WP3*2 + WP4 + WP5 - 30)/1000
On the façade, on the top center a curious decoration sculpture, no way to get it wrong, supports some objects that are the basis of the name of the stablishment. Count them, on both sides. The columns at each side of the door are made of the same number of stones. Multiply the number of stones of one column by the number of objects.

The name engraved on the Guapos plate is not the one of the stablishment. This name is also the name of an object on the façade, over the foundation year. How many sharp ends has it?

On the narrow street on the left, at the end of the shop, there is an info panel of Institut de Cultura . On the third panel, a number on the last line: take it. I addressed you here with a clear goal: continue walking some 40m, you will find a Guapos 1909 plate from a shop that is no longer Guapo. It was an outfitter's and now it is a generic clothing shop. It's not the same , but at least they kept one of the more beautifull façades of the city. Don't miss it.
WP10: 1864 - N 41 23+(WP7 + WP8 + WP9*5 + 2)/1000 E 002 10+(WP7*4 + WP8*11 + WP9*6 - 1)/1000
Below the counter, visible from the street, no need to enter, a big clock separates left and right sets of medals. Left medals*3 + right medals*5. If it is closed, don't worry, there is a reproduction -without the clock and of course not so nice- on the round corner, at the top of the façade.
WP11: 1890 - N 41 23+(WP8*2 + WP9 + WP10 + 2)/1000 E 002 10+(WP8*9 + WP9*10 + WP10*13 + 3)/1000
On the façade, some big decorated panels. At the bottom of each one, a molding with flowrs -some up at the center, others down on the laterals- each flower with small balls on the middle. Total of small balls of all flowers on all panels.
WP12: 1851 - N 41 23+(WP9 + WP10 + WP11 - 6)/1000 E 002 10+(WP9*13 + WP10*16 + WP11*20 + 4)/1000
(One of my best. When they are Guapes they are really Guapes) . On the façade four panels with black glasses and golden geometric dessigns. One of them is unique due to two details: it is the only one with more than one word and it is the only one with figurative drawigns -saffron bulbs- on top and bottom. How many saffron bulbs are there in total?

All waypoints are easily accessible even on a wheelchair, but the whole circuit, quite stright, is about 5Km long. It's a small micro!
