Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the listed coordinates...or is it??

Come one, come all, to game night here in North Texas. No, not football, but a board game to be precise. Not just any old game, it is time to play Cluedo! We Americans are more familiar with the name "Clue", but when this game was invented in England around the middle of the last century, it was named "Cluedo"! In fact, that is what it is still known as to this day in the jolly old UK.

OK, now for the particulars... A henous and cowardly crime has been committed in the Boddy Mansion. In fact, one Mr. Boddy himself, is the unfortunate victim. The local constabular have been unable to solve not only who murdered Mr Boddy, but have no weapon identified and not even a guess at which room this dastardly act took place in.

This is precisely why you have been summoned. With your obvious skill using deductive reasoning, and a keen eye for details, you are the person who Scotland Yard is counting on to solve this case. The subordinates from the Yard have compiled crime scene evidence that they have placed into so-called Cluedo Exhibits.

There are 5 of these exhibit caches located about the Denton area.

Cluedo Exhibit A
Cluedo Exhibit B
Cluedo Exhibit C
Cluedo Exhibit D
Cluedo Exhibit E

MAKE SURE TO READ THESE EXHIBIT CACHE PAGES COMPLETELY BEFORE GOING OUT TO FIND THEM! In each of these, are clues that will help you eliminate a suspect, a weapon, and one (OR TWO!) room(s) from the possibles found in the Boddy Mansion. Use the game sheet below to keep track as you work your way through the Exhibits.

Clue Worksheet

The list of 6 SUSPECTS include;

Miss Scarlett (N33.15)
Colonel Mustard (N33.17)
Mrs. White (W097.09)
Reverend Green (W097.05)
Mrs. Peacock (N33.13)
Professor Plum (W097.01)

The 6 WEAPONS that could have been used are;

Dagger (N33.14)
Revolver (W097.06)
Candlestick (N33.12)
Lead Pipe (N33.11)
Rope (W097.08)
Wrench (W097.06)

The 9 ROOMS that the murder could have taken place in include;

Kitchen (N.051 W.527)
Conservatory (N.018 W.138)
Billiard Room (N.292 W.207)
Ballroom (N.378 W.568)
Lounge (N.416 W.189)
Dining Room (N.589 W.558)
Library (N.335 W.243)
Study (N.016 W.401)
Hall (N.242 W.313)

Once you have eliminated all you can from the Cluedo Exhibits, you will be left with one suspect, one weapon, and one room. Plug in the coordinates from each of these provided above, to form one complete lat/lon that will lead you to the Boody Treasure, aka "CLUEDO!"

If you are able to do this, you will cement your name onto the ranks of the all-time great crime solving investigators, and will receive international acclaim. (or at least caching immortality!) You could get to the final by simply guessing, but it might take you 324 tries to get it correctly. (6 x 6 x 9 permutations) I suggest claiming a few more caches and make it easy on yourself. The final is a regular sized plastic coffee can camo taped. So get out there Super Sleuths, and happy hunting!
