Daly City is known as the Gateway to the Peninsula. This cache is placed next to a sign that welcomes people with this message as they enter heading south down Guadalupe Canyon Parkway.
Because the Gateway sign itself is on a small incline next to a private residence and very close to a school, I did not want to place it there. So I did an old stand-by: it is a near-by lamp post skirt cache. It is in a parking lot so you can park and grab it. Probably should be aware of possible muggles.
The post is on a retaining wall that appears to be a border to San Bruno Mountain. There were a few spider webs in the skirt, but I did not see any spider. But be careful anyway - especially if you dislike spiders. Container is black and magnetic. It is a log only so bring a pen - although there is a fake gold coin for FTF and enough room for small (coin size) items.
Have fun at this gateway.
