Does This Bus Go To Da Loop? Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

toppercat: I apologize for this one. Its the closest to my house. I kept thinking I could keep it going, but in winter its all but impossible to get to. And when the area floods, ditto. Not sure why it disappears so frequently. Never the less, this cache is going bye bye. Thanks for the fun. TC

As the old Chicago joke goes......

A man gets on a bus and asks the bus driver. "Does this bus go to da loop?" The bus driver says, "No mack, dis bus goes beep beep."

I originally placed this at the end of November 2010. Then after a few days the reviewer Abe Froman said "Unfortunately there is a problem with the location. Your cache is only 250 feet south from another cache that has been pre-approved for release the first week of December." Dang. So I moved it a few blocks south on the other side of the street. Then Abe said "I'm very sorry to inform you that you have selected a spot less than 50 feet from another pre-approved cache in a large series set for publishing the first week of December." Double dang. Once more, I moved it a bit more south. Again I get a reply from Abe. " You've hit another one. Under 25 feet this time. I want to save you the hassle of having another proximity issue. Obviously you're looking for a..." (Im not giving away what the obvious structure is. LOL) It ended up being the BAT series. Triple dang. So I went out to retrieve my cache. When the caches went live I found that my 3rd cache was literally 2 inches from the other cache. Under 25 feet... lmao Quadruple dang. Anyway, the patient geocacher that I am, I waited until the cache was archived and I actually remembered that I still had it in que. I have to hand it to Abe. Even though I couldn't get the cache out, he did help me a great deal with what I could do to save a few hassles. Placing caches can be a bit frustrating, but you have to think about the reviewers. Even though they are anonymous, they still have headaches. Sorry for the hassles Abe and thank you very much for all your help. Have fun people. Toppercat
