Det er dejlig å være norsk... Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

cervisvenator: Hi

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

(This reviewer note is in English so non-Norwegian cache owners, geocachers and cache reviewers can understand what it says.)

Thanks for your understanding,
Cervis Venator

Geocache Description:

Det er dejlig å være norsk...

Information in English is found below

It's nice to be Norwegian...

The cache name refers to a slogan the Danish tourism organisation has used for 20 years: "It's nice to be Norwegian - in Denmark!"

Risavika Harbour was established in 2004 and is both government-owned and private-owned. The harbor consists of a freight terminal, an international terminal and RO-RO-terminals. There are also many companies established in the Risavika area.

In 2008 the international ferry traffic based in Sandvigå in Stavanger had to relocate due to the building of a new concert hall. Fjord Line decided to move their ferry service to Denmark to Risavika Harbour after also concidering Egersund. The first ferry bound for Denmark arrived in Risavika on October 27th, 2008.

The cache is placed close to the international terminal where the ferry bound for Denmark arrives and leaves from. Original cache contents: FTFC, FTF-pin and some trade items.
