Our kids wanted to place a rock trade cache. Its hidden in a tupperware in the remains of a fort they built two years ago. The idea is that you trade rocks/fossils. If you don't have proper items to trade please just enjoy looking at the contents. It is NOT ok to leave items besides rocks/fossils and it is NOT ok to pick up a common piece of granite or quartz (or anything you find on the ground nearby) and use that to trade. Please respect the reason we placed a cache like this.
To answer a question, our son is into geology which is the inspiration for a rock and fossil trade. Everything he's left in the cache he found on family trips this summer. He just added some amazonite and an oyster fossil.
