Geocache Description:


I was out caching in Deer Grove yesterday (11/6/10) with n9tog and Mongoose66. One of the caches we found is right by a mini-airfield where folks come and fly their remote controlled airplanes (visit link)

I knew my kids would enjoy seeing these little planes so I suggested we drive out here today after we did a number of errands. My wife, kids and I watched the planes for a bit and then took a nice walk around Deer Grove on this beautiful day.

I had a container with me just in case we felt an urge to hide a cache. We found a nice spot and the container was quickly in place.

The host had an unusual small round growth on it and we were not sure what it was. The kids started calling it an "oddball" so that is what we named the cache.

This should be pretty simple but I made it 1.5 b/c it could blend in for a second and if it is a nice day, the muggle factor will be in play. The terrain is rated 1.5 only b/c I think it may not be wheelchair accessible but I may be incorrect. No bushwacking involved.

While out here yesterday, we cleared out the east side of Deer Grove. I am sure many of you have as well so now you have a reason to head back.
