This is a cache not far from a major walkway, so be careful when looking because there may be a lot of muggles wandering nearby. If you are patient they will pass and you can get to look at the right spot. It is located in a rocky area around a pond, but keep your ‘caching eyes’ open for a different place.
Cache is too small for a pen, please bring your own.

Yuanmingyuan is an historical park in Beijing. Even though it has been left in ruins from the destruction from foreigners more than 100 years ago, it is still a popular park where many locals enjoy trails, lakes, and can learn the history of the ruins that are all throughout the park. The guiding principle for the park’s development is to transform the lakes and streams and plant trees on a large scale, while accentuating the importance of the historical ruins as a prominent feature of Yuanmingyuan.
When you look around there are many places where it would be good to hide a cache, but this is a special place that will keep it out of sight, and should be safe in all seasons.
As you approach GZ you will have to come up from behind, then when you get there you can see why it was out of sight.
