Geocache Description:

Welcome to the beautiful village of Stavre. Don't just let it pass by your car windows - take a break! Any time of year.

The view down by the some 20 km long lake is vast and peaceful. Maybe visit the old steam ship S/S Alma af Stafre (geocache: S/S Alma af Stafre & Stavre Strand ) too. Also take a side track and drive the old road through the village and gaze at the pompous old wooden houses from the turn of the 19th century from the side they where built to be viewed from - since this was before the automobile era, when boats where the most common way to travel. The old "bath house" on poles in the water is also a land mark from that time (geocache: Stavre badhus ). You'll be back on the E14 before reaching (or after leaving) Gimån and it's two geocaches. And if you continue/-d the old road you'll have the caches of Grimnäs and Mälgsand to hunt too.
