...for as long as we both shall cache. Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Footnotes coach: One of the awesome elements of this hide was the special container made for us by Kangadrew. It has long since perished and replacements seem to have trouble staying put.

Geocache Description:

I owe a great debt of gratitude to geocaching. It was a geocaching event where I first met the famous “Queen of Texas Caching”. And it was at another event where we set things in motion for our first date. Many caches and events later……Mrs. Captain Picard and I were married across this valley at Chapel Dulcinea on May 8, 2010. And so to honor her 20,000th find, as well as our marriage, I place this very special cache in a very special place. Julie has certainly had a tremendous impact on the geocaching world, but even more impact on my life. She turned it upside down. She is the love of my life, a delightful mix of humor, intelligence, beauty, adventure, and playfulness. I adore her with all my soul. Our wedding was unique to our style as evidenced by our supplementary vows that we added in after the standard ones had been spoken. Julie interrupted the preacher just before the pronouncement with these words: “Just a minute…I’m very particular and have a few additional qualifications. Do you, Footnotes Coach, take me, Mrs. Captain Picard, to be your permanent and favorite geocaching partner, to venture happily wherever that may take us? Do you promise to reach the high ones, make u-turns on command, keep me in fresh batteries and write kindly of me in your logs always?" After saying “I do” to her requests, I added my own. "Do you, Julie, promise to be my permanent and favorite jumping partner, to stand by my side faithfully with a knot-free rope and an oxygen canister? Do you promise to learn new tricks faster than an old dog, even if we will never be able to high-five while I’m standing up, or while I’m sitting down, for as long as we both shall jump?" Take time to gaze across the valley and enjoy the view of the beautiful chapel. You might even hear the bells ringing, which indicates the conclusion of another wedding. Since houses are nearby, it would be better to not search at night. Please recover the container for camouflage and weather protection. Feel free to include in the log any comments or stories about Mrs. Captain Picard or love stories of your own.
