Pondering Pond Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

IgnotusPeverell: Greetings. I'm IgnotusPeverell, one of the volunteer reviewers for geocaches submitted to Geocaching.com.

This geocache is located on SWA or STL property. Notices were posted by Geocaching HQ on August 5, and September 2 to add the required text to educate players about permit requirements. The deadline was September 30, and that date has passed. Unfortunately, this geocache is now being archived. This geocache cannot be unarchived.

Thanks for your understanding,

Geocache Description:

Large Woodland Camo'ed Pill Bottle containing a log book and some small items.

The pondering pond is quite the site in summer, fall, spring or winter and is home to some very large catfish... but don't think you are going to catch one! They didn't get to be so large by being stupid and getting caught now did they! :) But if you look closely enough you will see them skimming near the surface of the pond on clear days sometimes and they will make your eyes bulge they are so big!

It is a quiet spot to just sit in the peace and quiet of nature and the view is beautiful, so is the wildlife you might encounter if you sit somewhere long enough and quiet enough.

Deer, Hawks, Toads, Fish, Sparrow, Jays, Coyotes, Raccoon, Fox, Wild Turkey and Beaver are just a few of the wild creatures you might come across, so enjoy!
