This cache is
located on the Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail between Wanship
and Park City. Access to this cache is only from the Rail Trail.
Accessing from the freeway -- so lame. Closest parking here –
N 40° 44.509’ W 111° 28.482’. Or for a real adventure
park here – N 40° 39.682’ W 111° 29.896’, or here
– N 40° 58.090’ W 111° 25.793’ and go the full
length of the trail. This is a log only cache. You might want to
bring your own writing utensil. If you don't you might discover a
whole new level of lameness.
Why are you
looking here? This isn't a puzzle cache. You are lame.
;)
This cache was inspired
by Sonny and Sandy from Team PodCacher who very often in their
podcast proclaim themselves as lame after going 1 for 3 on a
caching outing. It was also placed during the last half of a Boy
Scout 50 mile bike ride for the cycling merit badge (in the dark no
less).
Have you ever been
unable to find a cache that has logs on the page like - "Easy park
and grab", or "Thanks for the quick find"? Well, I have. I am
probably the lamest urban cacher on the planet. Many are the times
that I have been unable to find a news stand cache, or a park bench
cache only to go home and cry myself to sleep with my caching self
confidence at rock bottom. Well, I am turning things around. Lame
urban cachers unite! We are no longer lame. Hike and grabs are now
the thing. Park and grabs? Lame. Cache and dashes? Lame. Power
trails? So lame. This cache was purposely placed near the freeway
to taunt those who do a “cache along a route” query and
then who must speed by wallowing in their lameness.
Found it? Log it. But
not in a lame fashion. Acronyms? Lame. Delta Quadrant?
Lame.
Get to this cache in
whatever non-motorized fashion you choose. Bike it. Hike it. Ski
it. Jog it. Gallop it. But just do it. After all, you don’t
want to be lame.
P.S. No cachers were
intended to be slighted by the placing of this cache. All
references to lameness are tongue in cheek.
