Come celebrate ten years of caching in Maine. This is a continuation of the Celebration events that have been held annually. Once again, we will be at Windsor Elementary School which provides us with plenty of room for fun and games.
2:00-6:00 pm
The Fort Williams Cache was hidden on January 2nd, 2001. That was the beginning of caching in Maine. Yes, it was placed in the winter and winter events and caching have been part of Maine geocaching ever since .
This year's event will be bigger and better. We plan on having some sponsors, caching games, and the usual food and kids cache. T-shirts are in the making to celebrate 10 years of geocaching.
Say “Hello” to all those friends who have been hibernating for the winter. Come learn about the latest geocaching toys that you received over the holidays and enjoy some yummy food. I try to make this a family event, so if you have any fun ideas, please let me know!
The school has a lot of area to snowshoe and slide. There’s a great playground. We’ll have lots for the whole family to do. Geocaching in this area is a lot of fun. Local cachers have put out some awesome hides.
Please note your intentions to attend. There is no snow date planned and if we need to cancel in a hurry, I'd like to make sure I contact as many people as possible.
